A short news article in Japan says
Godzilla will make his comeback around 2013.
Thanks to Andrew Wong for the story and a big thanks to Brian Keaney for the translation.
On the 7th, we learned that the Godzilla series is being deeply considered for resurrection, after having called it quits last year after a 28-film run. "I'd like to wait for Godzilla's revival by a 'new generation' staff," said Toho Eiga CEO and series producer Shogo Tomiyama (53 years old). Mr.Tomiyama, who has produced the series since 1989's "Godzilla vs Biollante," shared the stage at HMV Shibuya with 5-time G-series actor Akira Takarada (71 years old). The two participated in a talk show on the 7th at an event to commemorate the DVD sales debut of the last film of the series, "Godzilla Final Wars." "Godzilla's longest absence has been 9 years. It'll be about that long this time, too," or in other words, by around 2013, according to the newly revealed "revival plan." The Godzilla suit used in the initial GFW promotional campaign photographs was also on hand for an attack at HMV. The 300 or so fans present were duly intimidated by the power of the genuine article.
